August 8th, 2012 – Vancouver, BC: Riverside Resources Inc. ("Riverside" or the "Company") (TSX-V: RRI) is pleased to announce an update on exploration activities on the Flute and Lennac Designated Properties located near Smithers in Central British Columbia (BC). An aggressive exploration program, with its partner Antofagasta Minerals S.A. (“Antofagasta”), consisting of airborne magnetics and magnetic susceptibility modeling and interpretation, field mapping and sampling, ground geophysical Induced Polarization (IP) surveys, and shallow top-of-bedrock reverse circulation (RC) drilling is now underway on both the Flute and Lennac properties. A Diamond Drill has now been mobilized to the Lennac property to begin drill testing on the Lennac Lake copper-porphyry target.

Fieldwork on the Flute and Lennac properties began in April with the flying of airborne magnetics over the extent of the claims. Following the completion of this survey, Mira Geoscience completed a 3D unconstrained magnetic inversion on the data to create a 3D magnetic susceptibility model in MAG 3D from UBC-GIF. Interpretation of the airborne data and 3D model was also completed by Mira Geosciences and new targets have been identified.

Ground geophysical induced polarization (IP) surveys began in mid-July, and to date more than 30 line kilometers of widely spaced reconnaissance IP lines have been completed over the Lennac Lake copper-porphyry target and along trend to the northwest and southeast. Several new anomalies have been identified and will be followed up with top-of-bedrock sampling, geological mapping and geochemical rock sampling. Further IP grids are being completed on the Flute and Lennac properties over airborne geophysical anomalies and historically identified IP anomalies with coincident elevated copper geochemistry in historic soil sampling.

A lightweight, mobile RC drill was mobilized to the Lennac property in mid-July to begin an extensive top-of-bedrock/base-of-till sampling program. Areas identified as prospective for copper-porphyry style mineralization through geological, geochemical and geophysical targeting will be tested with shallow RC drill-holes on both the Flute and Lennac properties over the course of the 2012 season.

A diamond drill was mobilized to the Lennac property on August 6th to begin drill testing of the Lennac Lake copper porphyry target. Initial drill testing will follow-up on porphyry-style copper mineralization identified in outcrop and in historic RC and diamond drilling at the West and East Zones. Shallow RC drilling completed in 1973 on the West Zone and East Zone and diamond drilling completed in 1974 at the West Zone intersected strong copper-porphyry mineralization hosted in porphyry dykes and surrounding volcanic rocks. Many of the historic drill-holes ended in mineralization and the system will be tested at depth and along strike of historic drilling.
