Riverside Resources Inc TSX.V: RRI is pleased to announce Brian Groves has joined its Board of Directors .

Brian Groves has worked in the Australian and Canadian mining and exploration industries for more than 28 years. A graduate of The University of Sydney, Australia, Mr. Groves began his career in exploration as a geophysicist in Australia. He has been involved in exploration for gold, base metals, and coal with AMAX Minerals and Noranda from Australian and Canadian bases. Most of his professional career has been spent in Canada where he spent 1990 to 2003 with Placer Dome, his final position was Manager of Corporate Development based in Toronto. Following his tenure with Placer Dome, Mr. Groves became President and CEO of Temex Resources Corp, a junior exploration company.

Mr. Groves has also held positions as an officer for Claude Resources and as a Director for Christopher James Gold Corp.

Riverside has granted a total of 50,000 options to purchase capital stock of the company at a price of 80 cents, for a period of five years to Mr. Groves, pursuant to the company's stock option plan. Options granted to directors and officers vest as one-third of the total number of options six months after the date of grant, a further one-third of the total number of options one year after the date of grant, and the remaining one-third of the total number of options 18 months after the date of grant.
